Unusual Cloud

I'm a bit of a cloud buff so I found this one quite interesting. I think it is a lenticular cloud but they are more commonly seen above high mountains which generate their own winds. It was a bit gusty and it rained a little bit later in the day. I couldn't help thinking that perhaps it was an homage to the last Boeing 747 to be produced .

I can't remember where we were going, but on our first trip on a 747. The upper deck on that flight was a lounge with little tables, drinks and snacks. Quite a contrast to today's 'squished in an aluminum tube' flights where 'getting up and moving about the cabin' involves extreme gymnastics should one be seated next to the window with the back of the seat in front in one's lap...

I was never on another plane that had its own lounge separate from the seats. Here are some details.

I still look like a chipmunk but my chin is slowly emerging and I am not spending another day cloistered in the house. Tomorrow Is the Super  Bowl, not my favorite endeavor but it is almost impossible to avoid it so we'll probably watch it with Jim and Dana which will be more fun. The most curious thing about the Super Bowl, this is Super Bowl LVII...just one of the silly affectations that have become part of the hype...is that the commercials have become  a contest of their own. Advertisers are paying an average of seven million US dollars for a 30 second commercial. It is a concomitant sport to rate the commercials on a number of different scales.

I will refrain from commenting about that other than to say that I wish we could just send all that money to Turkey and Syria, or use it to house the homeless....I will be counting the commercials and adding up the tab....
