Before the show and.....after the show

To the Royal Festival Hall tonight for the Transatlantic Sessions gig, which I've been going to for several years now. It brings together artists from North America and UK with a  Celtic connection or theme. There is a kind of house band with Jerry Douglas from the States on steel guitar and Phil Cunningham and Ally Beal from Scotland on fiddle and accordian plus lots of other musicians. They also have guest artists. The most well known tonight was Martha Wainwright (from Canada of course) until that is Gerry Douglas announced a special guest at the start of the second half, Eric Clapton. They then played While My Guitar Gently Weeps as an instrumental. Magic! The extra photo is the whole set of musicians taking a bow at the end of the show. Eric Clapton is on the far left; Martha Wainwright is 4th from the left.
