After a quick dash to fetch bread, it was off to Glasgow.
With the Binos idle (Elgin were in Scottish Cup at Ayr ) and half term upon us, it was time to tick off another of the 42 Scottish League grounds and Celtic v St Mirren fitted the bill.
Train through, Tesco meal deal and then Tom led the charge around various clothes stores before a meander eastward to the Barras (eyes were well and truly opened) including a brief chat with the Panda chap.
Then Parkhead; my last visit was an 8-0 cuffing dished out to the Binos. Again we graced the away end and the travelling Buddies were in good voice. A close game for the most part, with the added bonus of Douglas Ross running the line,. But the last 20 minutes turned into a procession, St Mirren reduced to 10, and bar a late penalty, Celtic cantered into the quarter finals.
Train chaos heading home.... trespassers on the line meant a late train home. Great.
Chips beckon, then I'd better have a look at the rugby highlights
