I don't know how she can stand to get this close to the fire!

Most of the day taken up with a pony club rally at Willoughby. Flat work lesson followed by jumping. Jack was perfect in the flatwork but zoomed off in the jumping and gave Eva a bit of a scare so she stopped riding to the fences so he stopped jumping! But she got there in the end and finished with a lovely collected round. She wasn't happy at the time but we've had a big chat and she's watched her videos and has realised how far she has come. Plus keep reminding her he's not a machine- you ride what you've got on the day. He's allowed to have 'behaviour' just like we do. At the end of the day, he looked after her like he always does. He's gone on the lorry straight out of the stable, it's hardly surprising he wants to let off a bit of steam! And she's not still cantering round the school now so clearly he did listen to her and stop!

I went out for dinner with some friends. We went to a pop up thing at a cafe - amazing burgers. We went early as you couldn't book, which was a good job as it really filled up. Everyone feeling a bit knackered so we didn't stop out but it was good to catch up. I'm pretty much tee total these days anyway!
