Walked for the first time with CHA Bradford- a rambling and social club - walks start and end at either bus or train stops - and most of the participants are Bus Pass Holders

Interesting start - shortly after arriving at Bradford Interchange a police cordon was placed around it - buses couldn’t enter or leave - someone had climbed to the roof of opposite building and was threatening to jump - incident apparently took three hours to be resolved

Along with seven other walkers caught two taxis to the start point of the walk - bus stop after Wyke Appleton Academy - to join other participants - walk took in Judy Woods - North and Southowram - Dark and Barrowclough Lanes - ancient steep trackways before travelling home on buses from Halifax - quite a strenuous route - much ascent and descent - blip of a couple of members negotiating a stream - was pleased I did it without falling in
