Book blip

When I was in the library on Thursday I saw this little book in the section the librarians recommend. It was short and quite interesting telling the story about the Community Independents in the last Federal Election. We helped our local candidate but she didn’t win. Funnily enough the incumbent who won in our electorate has now left the party (Nationals) as he didn’t agree with them. Join the club. The next election will be interesting. 

We had a hot day. Our house keeps the heat out quite well until late afternoon. We put the air conditioner on for a few hours this afternoon. Thinking of the people in Norfolk Island where cyclone Gabrielle is giving them some grief. We have been there for 2 holidays and I’m glad I’m not there at the moment. The buildings are not really adequate for a cyclone. Hope it doesn’t cause damage in NZ.
