Good to meet up with the NACC group for a pub lunch and then distillery tour. I'm not really one for tours but it was interesting and the company was lovely. The extra is inside what I think is called a mash tank - the two suspended buckets contain a soap solution for helping control the height of the frothy bubbles that an over lively batch of yeast can produce. Not quite sure of the science behind this. And the second extra is a collection of small bottles that people can buy samples of individual whiskeys which, if I remember correctly, are no longer in production. The colourful lights are a marketing ploy based on the coloured buildings on the main street.
