National Galleries
Out mid morning to the Scottish Academy on Princes Street to see the 142nd Annual Members Exhibition of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour. Some excellent seascapes. Not all watercolours, in extra there's sculpture as well as paintings from Aleksandra Zawada.
Looked into the shop in the National Galleries - they have some new Cezanne things, likely prompted by the show on at The Tate. Walked back by Frederick Street and Hotel Chocolat. Their café is open again and they do 85% cocoa butter hot chocolate (and other percentages) with optional mocha. Recommended.
Biting cold wind, 5C in the sunshine. Was accosted by a dog in Queen Street gardens which surprised me by nosing my gloved hand from behind, then jumped up without encouragement.
