To the Lakes

Della arrived from London last night and this morning, once coffees were consumed, we all set off together to the Lake District. Tomorrow we'll be scattering dad's ashes just as he'd requested in his final wishes.

A long drive........ five and a half hours all up. Mostly motorway though the latter half an hour was on to country roads through beautiful hilly country. 3 stops in total...... refreshments, dropped in to see Iain then dropped in to see Malc but it didn't really feel like a long drive.

Love this area. Whilst tomorrow will be a sad final act for dad, we're hoping to then enjoy an extended weekend in this beautiful area of England that was so very special for him.
