A night with the starlings

Literally.

I'd reccied it as a possibility before I went wandering round the reserve - it seemed good and from March, there's a campsite in the middle of the racecourse which is just before the car park, right next to the reserve.  The estimate is 150,000 starlings.  It was a massive murmuration.

When I was driving to the North York Moors in December, I'd spotted groups of starlings at dusk heading west over the A1.  This is clearly where they were heading for the night.
