Peacefully at 2.40am with me my mum and my sister holding his hands, he gently slipped away with Auld Lang Syne playing in his ears.
87 years of a life well lived, his death is not a tragedy but having being told he was terminal and had two months to live in April 2021, it has been tortuous. Thank goodness the end was so peaceful and for all we are heartbroken it’s at last relief.
