An early drive to Kendal. Fuel at Sainsbury’s (6p a litre cheaper than at home) and a bit of shopping (a lot more than I went in for). Then around the one way system to the recycling site where I got rid of two old winter tyres (our local site doesn’t accept them) and the old tins of paint from my cupboard clearout not long ago.

I’ve been thinking recently that I should start ticking some more tarns off my very long list. Ratherheath Tarn isn’t far from the main road on the way home. I knew of its use for fishing but didn’t expect the high fence surrounding it. It’s a phone shot as I would never have got the camera lens through the spaces.
