From Now On...

Homeward bound…

A grabbed photo of The Shard and the moon just before our train arrived this evening. From Waterloo East to Hayes Kent. The journey from Yeovil Junction to Waterloo had been good. Quieter than on the way out but less full. Dark too, so no views from the windows.

We’ve had a lovely day with Valerie. Good to be with her. While we were on our outgoing journey, she’d been called into A&E to investigate a shadow on her lung which was shown to be a blood clot. Also another spontaneous bone fracture, this time in the hip that’s been giving her so much pain. The radiology team wanted to do more detailed CT scans today but she persuaded them to wait until tomorrow as she had special visitors today.

Neil met us from the station and we went straight to the hospital to pick up Valerie. Then we went for the meal she’d booked and chatted about much other than, for several hours.

Back to their home briefly before Valerie drove us to the station for our journey back to London. From Waterloo Little Sis heads for the Northern Line and Big Sis and I go over the bridge for our train.

We have many gratefuls and will meet again soon. Turkey’s huge tragedy is on our hearts.
