Eyes on the Prize

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Jess asked for a night out at Counter Culture, the board game cafe as her farewell to us before she flies up to Auckland on Saturday. 

She's a very cool, intelligent woman. But she embraces her inner game nerd and was VERY excited at all the games there. 

Jefe, Manda, Shenée and Craig also came along and we had a night of larfs and beers and LAUGHING AT MY READING GLASSES.

It is true that I enjoy putting them on and then PEERING at people while I try to intimidate them. Also WHIPPING them off like David Caruso when I'm making a point. 

Manda tried it. As you can see it was not quite as effective for her. 

I think Jess appreciated all the attention and fun. We got big hugs at the end of the evening and she promised to let us know whenever she was back in town. 

As for Jefe, Manda and me, we signed up for THIS at the end of the month at the games cafe. 

It turns out I have an inner games nerd too.
