Museum Day

Today was spent mostly at Torquay Museum.
The speaker was Marilyn Bishop on the Florence Floods of 1966, and the incredible restoration work afterwards by the ‘angels of the mud’, and the ‘flood ladies’.
Afterwards there was a meeting to discuss the organisation of the library, which has been neglected for a few years. The photo was taken in the brilliant morning sunshine as I waited to greet the speaker. Lovely walk home by the seafront in the strong winter sun.
