Evening Shadows

Windows in doors
On Kitchen floors

Another lovely sunny day after a frosty start. Saw my first long-tailed tit since our move to Lincolnshire. Was just grabbing my camera when five starlings landed plonk en masse on the feeder and the tit flew away. Still, I saw it!

Finished my jigsaw - as blipped yesterday - such a lovely puzzle! The painting is by Steve Crisp and I notice that the 500-piece puzzle-in-waiting is also by this British artist. More anon, but I shall have a break between puzzles. Do search his name if you are interested in his artwork. He paints mostly rural nostalgia, and fantasy. (My newly finished puzzle was a scene in Kent.)

Today I did spend an hour in the garden, digging up clods of grass and brambles. I thought if I can catch them early, it might make spring and summer maintenance easier. Frost still covered areas in shade in the afternoon, but I was nice and warm moving around and forking the ground. Turned up oodles of worms, but as there was a robin following me round, some may not have survived.

Now it comes to evening and I realise I've taken no outdoor pictures. But this shadow and light cast from the utility door on to the kitchen floor has been pleasing me, so I'll share it as today's blip.
