New Family

Our new daughter-in-law, her parents, and our son came to dinner. I made (to the best of my ability) food that we all enjoyed in Mexico.
Here is a recipe for a delicious light dessert:

Lime Mousse
8 egg whites Beat until frothy
1 cup sugar Add to egg whites and beat until stiff
1-2 Tablespoons lime zest Add
3 Tablespoons lime juice Add

Dissolve 1 envelope gelatin in 3 Tablespoons hot water and add to mixture.
You can mix all this together with the low setting on the electric mixer.

The original recipe calls for 1 shot of mezcal, which is a liquor similar to tequila. Lacking either of these, you could try rum or whatever you like.
