Snow and mist

Mrs TT travelled down to Perpignan for a birthday lunch with friends. Three of them did not make it as they got stuck sliding off the road in the next valley. The car only slid into a field but it had to be winched out. Fortunately there was no damage to the car or the occupants. The male partners who had not been invited on the birthday lunch decided to walk and drive to the next village for a lunch at the local café. We had a simple hearty meal of a vermicelli bouillon, followed by pot au feu and then a chocolate fondant pudding with drinks and coffee It only came to €17 which I thought was very good value. My friend and I who were the only ones who walked up to the cafe, also walked back and the view over the valley and the snowy rooftops was quite like a Bruegel painting.
