A couple of months wait…

Hi Everyone,

I was up at 6, out of the house by 7 to drive to the hospital in Southampton, I got there around 8 and found the correct department and waited for my appointment at 9… I saw the surgeon and he said the total hip replacement would be needed and signed me up for it. He said as I was not overweight (that just our secret) I would be the first operation of the day, no general anesthetic just an epidural type one. If I could walk okay in the afternoon I would be going home in the evening. 

One of the risk factors is infection and I would be less at risk at home than in the hospital so he said… We spoke about me riding my bike and that should be fine, but I cannot get near one until 12 weeks after the operation. That’s fine with me I just want it done and recover correctly.

So, I now need to spend the next 8 weeks on the turbos as much as possible trying to get some muscles back and also loose the remain weight I would like to dump.

Right I have to dash, back to Brighton this afternoon to be with my Brother.
