Faces of Kabul

I chanced upon this mesmerising photo exhibition by Nick Sidle at the Pollokshaws Library this morning. Sidle was one of the first photographers to be embedded with western forces after the fall of the Taliban in 2002.
A time of hope for the future, which makes what subsequently happened a humanitarian catastrophe.
An afternoon of tying up various loose ends and a quick necessary trip into town. Cheery call from son number 2, I have agreed to dog mind, when they are on their honeymoon, destination as yet undecided.
