Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Mortified I have accidentally already ruined my brand new ‘Bialetti Mini Express’ stove-top 2-cup espresso maker - and after just a week. In football parlance, I took my eye off the boil and then in a senior moment forgot - leaving it to smoulder and (almost) glow like a small incendiary coffee-bomb about to blow. I had thought the base enamelled, but clearly not as it now more your burnt umber or caffè bruciato. The colour of the base should be the same as it’s two little red beakers.

It still works fortunately. Thinking that this blip might compliment my earlier The Kipper Tea Experience of my faithful and now very smoky old Petromax Fk.1 fire kettle or Fishermans Tea on Corrib.
