Drumstick Primula
I've been enjoying these cheery spring flowers in my garden for about a month but they have never found their way into a blip. So today's the day. These rumbustious plants seem to thrive in any soil and I've split them and transplanted all over the place (and given to others) to fill gaps and keep down weed growth. They come up year upon year. What more could you ask for! Primula denticulata, as it's properly called, originated from meadows and light woodland of the Himalayas - my garden link to the mystical East.
This clump are situated in a spot with shade behind which made them stand out from the background. I added the artistic poster edges filter to provide the edge definition in the shade.
