Flowers from Ruth

When we met Ruth in the restaurant on Saturday she presented Carole and me with bunches of tulips. Carole took charge of them and put them beside her chair and needless to say we forgot them. She was all for leaving them for the nice waitress but I get flowers so rarely that I wanted mine. Anyway it seemed a bit ungrateful when they were a present. So we picked up mine next day and Carole left hers. I have admired blippers’ tulips at all stages of life so now I can do the same.

I’ve been for a haircut. Adam is putting up his prices again by 10%. I know costs have gone up so understand it but a cut is now £36. I wonder what others pay? Last time he put up the price I just waited longer between cuts but that’s now 8 weeks!

We didn’t manage to watch Slow Horses last night as Apple wouldn’t chrome cast (no doubt because that’s a google product) and we don’t have a smart TV. I suppose we could watch it on the new Mac. We only get one episode free anyway. We are just going to have to toughen up and crack on with Happy Valley.

I’ve found another spa place to take the place of the cancelled one. It gives us a 50 minute treatment and afternoon tea. And it’s just down the road. Win win.
