Preparation for Spring

It was the first sunny day with minimal wind for quite sometime. I thought it a good idea to get out in the garden and do just a small amount of dead plant clearance. It's never a small amount in our garden and there were several barrow loads. I was busy until my body said "best leave it alone today"! I'm not really good at obeying the signs but I'm learning! I know there will probably have been some tiny creatures in the dead sticks I removed but as we have a large area of garden that we leave totally to nature I didn't upset myself about it. We don't have much sunny weather forecast for the coming week so I was pleased to have made a decent start.
This evening I made a list of vegetable seeds to be ordering this week in readiness for a new year of growing. I will start them all in the greenhouse in a few weeks and then B will transplant them into the ground when they are ready. I like the growing, not the digging!
