Some days are...

Some days are good days and today was one of those days.
There was a bit of sunshine and work didn't go too badly.
In the evening I was invited to a drinks reception for an art exhibition held at the Rocher. The mayor was there. I actually milled around making small talk with people. I met the parents of my ex-pupil and they chatted to me for over an hour. Spent about two hours in casual French conversation, something I could never have done when I arrived. The buffet wasn't too bad either! Came home and Skyped Sophie and was generally content with the day's happenings.
