Taking the Rough

…………………………..with the smooth. Berwick is full of little cobbled back streets…the Romans were apparently the first to make their roads this way, using smooth cobblestones to make a rough surface.

A U3A meeting this morning, hence why I was in Berwick. After a quick lunch I had to pick Mum up and take her home after ten days in respite. Home and enough time to make a pan of leek and potato soup before MC and the little one arrived…they stayed for tea before leaving with the car.
