The Early Bird

By my standards, I was up and out quite early today, to take advantage of a lovely morning. i came across a field with what I think was the largest flock of Fieldfare I’ve ever seen. There were at least 100. I also saw to brown hares scampering across the field, and in the woodland opposite, a large flock of Chaffinch with a few Bramblings in tow,
