Cycle ride
From the Sandport Place bridge looking towards the Shore at Leith.
Out first thing to cycle to Portobello. Frost on roofs, but only a very few patches on the ground. Water of Leith path to Leith, through Tolbooth Wynd to Leith Links and along by Seafield to the prom. In extra, sun on the beach.
At the main prom there was a big group of people bobbing in the cold water, with one person watching the pile of their stuff left on the dry sand. At the Joppa end I found a big group bike ride gathering; a tandem, mostly road riders in bright lycra with shoe covers. Turned back rather than investigate the other end of that possible loop.
Main blip taken on the way back, having negotiated the intricate one way system between Leith Links and cycleway 75.
Out again later to review the top end of the tram works; missing power lines between Picardy Place and the existing lines at York Place, and all sorts of streetscaping still to be done. Making progress, though.
