An Honour

The T.S Robert Hichens, the Falmouth & Penryn Sea Cadet Unit Annual Awards Night.
It is one of the honours that goes with being Falmouth RNA Chairman, probably the best one. Over the years I have seen many different youngsters win this award and the bursary that goes with it, a bursary that allows the RNA Cadet Of The Year to enjoy a weeks sail training on the T.S Loyalist or a week on the motor launch T.S Petchey.
I purchased the cup in 2003 and tonight, my final as Chairman, I was allowed to present it before the Inspecting Officer presented the rest of the trophies and awards.

I am looking into presenting another trophy, a personal rather than RNA one for the Best New Entry but nothing is decided yet.

With Mrs S working until 11:00pm I grabbed a McDonalds on the way home.
A long but rewarding day.
