The Lookout

......... we had a lovely walk this morning around some different fields. The outside thermometer said only 4 degrees when we left, so we wrapped up quite well but actually when we were walking in the sunshine we got a bit hot and had to take a layer off ;-)

This perky robin accompanied us for some of the way and seemed very keen to be noticed as he posed for me several times. We hardly saw a soul apart from the ones in the extra ( who we met twice ) and it was lovely to just stand and look at the view whilst listening to the birds singing .......... the highlight for me was to hear and see some skylarks in one of the fields, unfortunately it was just out of range of my lens but wonderfully uplifting to see and hear it ;-))
I walked the furthest I’ve walked for probably 18 months or more after the M.E. relapse, so I’m certainly going to have to rest for a few days but nonetheless I’m thrilled to have been able to get that far and see the skylarks again - I’ve really missed my country walks ;-))
