The Mighty Oak!

Today I am featuring a tree, just a few minutes walk from the one I posted yesterday.  I decided not to render it in monochrome.  This fine oak tree is in the centre of the village, growing in a small ravine on the edge of a river that flows through the village, although the river cannot be seen unless you look over the wall.  I do have a vintage photograph dating from the 1920s showing this tree, it's good to see that it remains in good health.  I like the way the tree fills the frame.  To the left there is a roundabout, where the railway crossing used to be!
