New life

The crocuses are starting to appear (cue my favourite vintage lens for some pics!) but I also liked these seed-heads which have just opened in the sun.  They are actually on my hibiscus bush - I thought that the bush was trying pushing out a second flush of flowers following the heatwave in the summer, but they never opened and I never got round to pruning them off the bush. 

I only realised this morning that the 'flower buds' were actually the seed-pods...
