fly bird fly...

...into the open sky

i have been under the weather all day - it hit me yesterday and has continued into today - i certainly don't mean to whine - but i simply can't tolerate being ill, can you? - it just gets in the way of everything... well, that statement sort of made me giggle - of course, it does - but there is no accomplishment with illness - other than the periodic run to the porcelain god, if you know what i mean - and where's the fun in that? yuk, people! especially when it's a beautiful day outside...

however, after much ado - i managed to drag myself just outside the door - i heard him prior to seeing him and even then wasn't quite certain what i was seeing due to the blueness of the sky - the white of the clouds - see what i mean about missing out on a gorgeous day... anyway - up i looked - saw the flash of wings high in the sky - snap, snap... it was done - fly bird fly - i wonder if he had a specific destination in mind - or was simply enjoying the freedom of flight in the clear blue of the sky - i got 3 shots of the magpie - kept coming back to this one where he's not so defined against the clouds - i decided i liked it that way - especially since i don't feel so defined either on this day - yet it all works out - i managed to get some time in the out of doors which is more than i suspected i would - so it's made for...
