So we did a thing…..
Took Phin to Newbattle this morning for a romp in the woods to tire him out a little as we needed him to be relaxed this afternoon. It seemed to work as he was such a good boy when we headed to the caravan dealership in Wishaw.
Luckily the 2 caravans we wanted to compare were in the showroom and not out in the yard as it was a wet chilly afternoon. We took a good hour looking at both (and a third) but finally agreed the one M PHL had originally chosen was the right one for our needs. We’ve paid the deposit and just need to sort out the money side and agree a collection date!
We then headed into Glasgow city centre to meet up with Mr PHL’s brother and his wife. I’d booked a BBQ restaurant near Charing Cross (or so I thought) as they were at the SEC at the caravan show and I thought it would be more convenient. I misread the directions and we ended up walking past the restaurant on the wrong side of the road. Graham and Grace arrived before us and were told we didn’t have a reservation! Cue much confusion and it was determined I had actually booked the other branch near the Gallowgate (where Graham and Grace had originally headed for until I told them we were booked at the other one!!). The server kindly called the other branch to advise that we might be a little late but we made it mostly on time.
The venue looked at a little sketchy from the outside but the food was lovely and Phin really enjoyed his doggie meal of chicken, rice and veg (massive bowl for £3!). The staff and other customers couldn’t have been more welcoming and really happy to see the dog so it was great fun. There was a great atmosphere especially when Scotland managed to win the rugby (sorry to non Scottish fans).
Loved this poster in the ladies loos.
Took Graham and Grace back to their house in Paisley where Phin found every ball belonging to their dog Toby and ran round and round the living room with them.
So today was a mix of good things and silliness so whilst not a silly picture, my efforts at sabotaging our dinner reservation were quite silly. Thanks to KangaZu for hosting in memory of Admirer.
