Day 135 of 365 - Drapers' Hall!
Welcome to day 135 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)
The original photo was taken late this afternoon in the Cathedral Quarter in Coventry. The image is of Drapers' Hall. Originally built in 1832 as the headquarters for the Drapers' Company trading guild. A further wing was added in 1864. The building was designed and built in a Greek Revival style with Ashlar blocks. The building is currently empty and parts of the building including the ceiling lights and Victorian kitchens are in need of restoration. The cellars were once used as an air raid shelter during the Second World War for 200 people. It has also been used as a Church centre for the nearby Holy Trinity Church.
The building is classed as a Grade II* listed building. The building is number 10 on my list of 24 (Grade II*) Listed buildings in Coventry that I hope to photograph.
As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App PureShot for iPhone. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.
First of all I used the app Lo-Mob to edit the image. The edits were made by applying the Vintage Instant preset to the image. Next I used the App called Mystic to further edit the image, this was done by adjusting the sharpness, colour levels and adding a filter called Boost to it. I also added the rough edge frame to the picture. Finally I used Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Cole overlay and the Lade Texture.
