Kona Cafe

Took a step out of my comfort zone today and went to a Hawaiian restaurant with my uke to join the group strum and sing group there. My ole bus driver friend Gary leads a lot of the songs there and has a beautiful falsetto voice he uses at times. It was definitively an experience as I knew none of the songs , only one person , and couldn’t really follow along . But a kind woman and also named Clare . She spells hers with an i and I don’t. She was attempting to show me some things, but it turned out she’d forgotten most of the chords herself so it was pretty funny— thus it’s my silly Saturday blip! She invited me to another strum along tonight, but I’m going to pass til I get some of the songs from Gary and can play along a bit better — I’m not used to doing any Hawaiian tunes so it’ll be a new experience!! My Hawaiian is limited to Aloha !!
