Do Crows fly in a straight line?

On our walk today we came across this sign. It got me thinking about the flight of crows and what this means for distance. Do flies crow in strict straight lines? Do they zig zag everywhere - maybe from tree to tree? Just how informative and helpful is this sign, really?
