A bear or a dog

This dog barks at me ferociously and throws itself against the gate every time I walk past. I am glad that the gate is solid and high! The dog is a Pyrenean mountain dog known as a patou if it is guarding sheep flocks. It is not normally aggressive except if the flock is threatened and then it is capable of seeing off bears and wolves. This dog certainly sounds aggressive but then it is not doing the job it was bred for. I am not sure it really should be a household pet. I decided to have a quiet day today, bought some fish in the morning and had a cup of tea with Marianne while we filled out an application form for a grant for the painting group. Now l will settle down and watch the rugby.
