Recycling bags

Most of Edinburgh has big black metal bins for rubbish and recycling in parking places on the streets. In the New Town, the less messy alternative is "gull bags" .. substantial synthetic fabric bags with big openings fastened with velcro. Landfill rubbish goes in similar black bags; these green bags are a trial for mixed recycling. They are designed to be hung on the railings, which keeps them from blowing away. Less of a hazard to 'walkers and wheelers' than the plastic boxes which were used before. 

Swim first thing. Investigated a new Italian deli on Dundas Street on the way back. Had hoped for more fabric samples in the post, but nothing yet. Worked on assorted requests for business support.
