AEONIUM arbreum: Tree AEONIUM

Angus & I walked a slightly different route this afternoon; & saw this mass of
succulents, blooming up a storm.

These Canary Island natives are planted in a north facing front garden, which seems to
protect them from our brutal summer sun.
Across the street, a gorgeous kindred
yellow rose was blooming, too.

I didn’t expect to see any FLOWERS blooming today, but was pleasantly surprised.
