Canongate Kirk

Today after work I walked to the Scottish Poetry Library. I had seen on Facebook and twitter that they had received another anonymous beautiful book sculpture. I thought I'd go and see it. It's a nest with eggs - made of book pages.
I started to walk home up Canongate and saw beautiful blossom trees outside Canongate Kirk. Then I walked further up the royal mile and saw and heard lots of protestors and police. I thought that this was something to avoid so did a detour along Cowgate. Only later did I realise the protest and fuss was about Nigel Farages visit!!
