We don't have the best broadband where we are, and the landline is a pain as it's often difficult to hear and be heard, so JJ decided we should upgrade to full fibre.

Two engineers turned up at lunchtime to do the outside work, and they can see the route of the cable on a phone app.  Not straightforward as it goes all around next door's house, under their garage and up to the junction box.

Unfortunately the ducting would appear to be damaged somewhere under next door's garage (newly built about twelve years ago, in a different location), and they can't get it through from either end.

They may need to dig up our tarmac drive, and are returning on Monday with a decision.
