Advertising cigarettes on a billboard around 1964. He didn't die of lung cancer but skin cancer put down to getting seriously burnt one holiday in France. Be aware and smother up! Anyways we, my sister and I were going to feature in a television advert for Players. My dad was a skilled driver and they were going to have him going around a track then cutting to me and my sister driving pedal cars. Then the law changed to no minors being used to advertise cigarettes. So there went my precocious childhood as a child actor.
Been to see BGW's son in hospital after having a leg op. Not the one with the cochlear implant but the twin who possibly has a harder life due to his almost invisible disabilities. A very brave young man who has had a serious leg op, well in fact two as both legs operated on at the same time, with hardly a murmur of complaint. Well impressed.
