Dunwich Forest

We've been here a number of times now and always been incredibly lucky with the weather, so even though it sounds as if it isn't as bad as some other parts of the country, it still feels disappointing that it's fleece and winter trousers weather rather than t-shirt time. Today the wind dropped, so it was a bit pleasanter, but still cold and it got progressively duller as the day went on. We did a forest walk, which was pleasant, but the area is noticeably devoid of butterflies and dragon and damselflies, and the birds are not as evident as we might have expected on a Spring day. Strange to see the bluebells at their peak here, when at this time, I would expect them to be past their best at home.
