Defiant Squirrel

This squirrel is totally consumed with consuming my bird feed!  As I was seated on the deck this afternoon, only briefly because it was quite cold, he kept maneuvering around the edges of the garden and then quickly climbed up the Dogwood and leaped to the feeder pole, then just stayed in this position staring at me.  Perhaps he thought I wouldn't notice?  I quickly shooed him away. 

I later looked out, and he was back on the feeders.  He must be frustrated, because my feeders are weight based and if heavy big birds land on them, they close.  He hasn't got a chance!
