Speed Networking

A step outside my comfort zone this morning.

We were up bright and early and off to The Rhondda Heritage Park for a speed networking event. Neither me nor Dawn had done this before, so we had no idea what to expect.

The best way it was described to me was it is exactly like speed dating but without a date at the end.

Basically you have two sides of the table, one side remains static, the other side keeps on the move. You have one minute to sell your business between you before everyone moves around. It's pretty intense, and I was down to a croak by the end of the hour, but I must confess it was great fun!

We got quite a lot out of it and gained a few contacts and a possible lead or two. We are getting our message out there now, and when someone says what an awesome business idea it gives you a massive fill-up.

Weary this evening ... Going to a bit of bird watching tomorrow morning.
