By the fireside.
The winter weather in northern Sweden is so different from the wintry weather in Blackburn . It feels so crisp and clean in this frozen landscape which we have yet again enjoyed walking over. I really enjoy looking at the monochrome trunks of the silver birch trees as the emerge from the snow as well as the shapes that the pine trees make against the soft colours of the sky . Not so much bright blue today.
Dave has refashioned the sledging run created by our son a few weeks ago and been sliding down at great speed . For the moment I am enjoying a more ambulatory pace on snow shoes .
Our hosts have treated us to soup and homemade glögg by an outdoor fire , bliss !
Grateful for,
the fine company ,
help with my apple mac,
simply being here with time to stand and stare.
