lights, camera, action...

A charity event.

The drinks, finger buffet & mingling are over. So is the fun. The speeches and entertainment are about to begin.

Impressive music, singing and narrative from blind & partially sighted artistes. Impressive speechmaking from chairman Richard, reading from his braille notes.

An impressive finale from the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP, the president of the organisation. A family connection, as his parents were involved in the past.

He's just to the left of the screen.

I was wearing a "Yes" badge. His bodyguard came and sat next to me.

(For the benefit of those not familiar with Scottish politics, the badge signifies I support a Yes vote in the independence referendum next year. GB is a Unionist.)
