Elephant jungle sanctuary
Today we were up early for a trip to see the elephants however our neighbours next door thought we should be up even earlier and started playing music at 3am for the second night they’ve woken us. We called reception and they agreed to move us to a new room, which they also kindly upgraded us. The new room is fabulous!
We didn’t get a lot of sleep after moving before we had to get up for our trip. It was worth it though!
First of all you give the elephants their breakfast which was two buckets of watermelon per elephant, you then get in a mud bath with them and cover them in mud, it’s good for their skin and also cools them down. It’s then time to go in the elephants swimming pool to wash all the mud off with a brush. They like to lye down in the water and also enjoying kicking there legs so you have to be careful. After that you then go in a big massive shower looks a bit like a car wash to remove all the mud from the elephants. We then had a lovely Thai lunch before heading back to the hotel.
The rest of the day was spent by the pool and a nice evening meal!
