One thing leads to another

In  schooldays, Latin was taught with weird pronounciation. Like, Julius Caesar arriving in Britain and announcing "weeny weedy weaky". So I have a lasting affection for the very first prep school teacher, when I was seven, who thought it better to use an Italian accent. And honestly, Latin sounds better that way.

And that's why I started with Duolingo Italian today. Just for the sound of it. So far I can say, with a perfect accent, "my name is Laura" and "I come from from Milano". Neither of which seems to be true.
